Position Description
We are seeking a Senior Applied Researcher to join our Research, Data, and Design (RDD) team in a full-time, temporary role with an anticipated five-month duration. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how state government partners use data to improve services, measure outcomes, and align programs to participant and community needs.

What You Can Expect in Your First 90 Days
In your first month, you’ll get oriented to RDD’s ways of working, active projects, and partner contexts, while contributing immediately to ongoing survey and/or quantitative analyses and priority deliverables.
In months two and three, you’ll continue contributing across projects, collaborating with teammates and partners on dashboards, reports, and data improvement guides, supporting qualitative research, and producing partner-facing deliverables.

Work Environment
SJI operates in a hybrid flexible work environment where remote work is supported and encouraged. However, in-person requirements for conferences, organizational events, meetings, and other occasions will be required.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a temporary, full-time position with a defined term of approximately five months, with an annual salary range of $85,421.45 to $99,026.87, depending on experience and qualifications. Temporary employees are not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits (including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, or 401(k) participation) during the temporary employment period; however, they do accrue paid time off (PTO), which includes sick leave, and are eligible for personal holidays and organization-recognized holidays in accordance with SJI policy.
